The company has been established as one of the leaders in the field of underground track construction. We have since been trading on underground refurbishment and repairs of rail switches, railway tracks, drainage systems, Transfer Bulkheads, Tips, raise bore plugs, reinforced concrete foundations and Box fronts.
Anlo Construction also installs new pipes underground and on surface. We do specialized thermit welding of all crane rails, ranging from the standard rail sections to any specialized rail section, whether it is locally manufactured or imported.
Anlo Construction has seven construction sites in South Africa, namely Anglo Platinum Dishaba, Anglo Platinum Tumela, Sibaney Cooke 1, Sibaney Cooke 2, Sibaney Cooke 3, Sibaney Cooke 4 and Harmony Doornkop.

History
Anlo Engineering and Mining Supplies were established in 1993. In the past business was done under the name of PJ Engineering, but was however stalled because of economical reasons. A decision was made to start business again after the management was approached by some of the mining companies to supply them some mining equipment again. Work elementary began on a plot, but business was growing so fast that it was decided to move to premises in the industrial sites.
The business began with the personnel of seven members. Repair Jobs elementary began on underground rail switches, as well as the manufacturing of mining equipment such as coldsets, pinchbars, marline spikes and many more small items and components, for the rail switches underground. Some repair jobs was also done on hoppers and material cars.
There were also quite a lot of underground installations done, such as, scissor crossings and single slip switches that was manufactured by the company itself. This has brought the management to the point to begin again with the manufacturing of all rail accessories as well as complete switches. It has however become a necessity for the company to move again to bigger premises, from Anlo Engineering & Mining Supplies BK is currently doing business. Meanwhile the business has grown to 39 personnel members.
In the meantime the management came to realize that the current premises are unpractical and too small for the type of work performed and therefore they have decided to bought a premises in 2000, on which a factory big enough for the company’s needs are currently being established.
Anlo Engineering & Mining Supplies have been very successful in the short period of their business existence. Anlo Engineering & Mining Supplies is presently doing business with big mining companies such as Amplats, Lonrho Platinum, Harmony Gold Mining Company, Goldfields and Placer Dome Western Areas Joint Venture as well as quite a lot of smaller companies.
As Anlo Engineering & Mining Supplies have grown, there became a necessity in the respect of quality control, and therefore it is decided to implement the ISO 9002 quality system.
